Do I need an NVQ or VTCT to legally practice aesthetics?No. You do not need a VTCT or NVQ to legally practice aesthetics in the UK. That traditional route can take 3-4 years and cost £10,000+ before you ever inject anyone. Our CPD-accredited, industry-recognised courses are fully legal to practice with and insurance-approved. If legislation changes in future, students would have 24 months to become compliant, and you will have already earned back your investment many times over.

I want to do this but the money feels like a lot right now.That is exactly why most people look into aesthetics in the first place. Nothing changes if nothing changes. What we will say is: cheaper courses usually mean larger class sizes with less hands-on time, no models included, no prescriber contacts after training, no insurance or clinical waste support, and no photography on the day. How do I get products and prescriptions after training?We connect you directly with the head of sales at Acre Pharmacy, the UK's biggest aesthetic pharmacy. Do I need to be CQC registered to practice?No. CQC registration only applies to doctors running regulated medical clinics. It does not apply to new injectors, beauty professionals, or most people starting out in aesthetics. As a non-medic you cannot operate in a CQC clinic, but you can legally work in and run a non-CQC clinic offering the same treatments. You do not need to worry about this at all when starting out.

What if legislation changes and non-medics can no longer inject?This has been discussed for over 10 years and nothing has changed yet. What is confirmed is that if rules do change, students get 24 months to become compliant. It would not ban non-medics from aesthetics, it might just involve applying for a license or extra qualification. By the time any change happens, you will already have earned your investment back, gained confidence, built a client base, and decided whether aesthetics is the right long-term path for you.
