No. You do not need a VTCT or NVQ to legally practice aesthetics in the UK. That traditional route can take 3-4 years and cost £10,000+ before you ever inject anyone. Our CPD-accredited, industry-recognised courses are fully legal to practice with and insurance-approved. If legislation changes in future, students would have 24 months to become compliant, and you will have already earned back your investment many times over.

Do I need to be CQC registered to practice?

No. CQC registration only applies to doctors running regulated medical clinics. It does not apply to new injectors, beauty professionals, or most people starting out in aesthetics. As a non-medic you cannot operate in a CQC clinic, but you can legally work in and run a non-CQC clinic offering the same treatments. You do not need to worry about this at all when starting out.
